St. Mary’s Special School: 1977-2017 40 Years of serving Meath and its surrounding counties
2017 marks the 40th year of St. Mary’s Special Schools existence. From small humble beginnings with less than a dozen pupils and two classrooms to over 90 pupils, 12 classrooms, a special care unit and an Autistic Learning Centre, St. Mary’s has grown tenfold. With a new school on the way and various projects underway such as Class 7’s Junior Entrepreneur Program and Class A4’s Irish Aid Program, the future has never looked brighter for Special Needs Education in Meath.
